Deadline (2019)
“You know sometimes you are just tired of being a normal modern human being, and you wander on the road and you see a fruit stall, at that moment, you make the decision of becoming that apple, yes, that one, that apple over there. And the apple starts to roll on the road.”
DEADLINE is an offer of an alternate perception of humanity, which points to a potential escape route from our loaded lives. We play the role of engineers who undertake journeys to try and learn about how - and if - it is possible to be something other than human. The engineers attempt to reconfigure their established relationships by embodying the lived experience of those things through movement based explorations. This, in turn will glean insight into perspectives of our world that are different from the prescribed societal norms.
